hello all.

Bwolfie, thank you for putting things in context. it is appreciated.

just beware that there are people who get out of bed every day just looking for someone to sue. it is a terrible trend I believe is everywhere.

stressed components with catastrophic failure consequences to me are just not worth the effort anymore for public sale.

I do like what u have done with the quick release cam setup. Have you measured the hardness of the timing side cam journal where the needles run.
Just curious. Chuck the carbide boring tool. in that setup u could not get the speed to get excellent finish. tool steel far better here, cuts cleaner, and easier to sharpen, and cheaper tooling too.

Hope all goes well

I know all about sue happy people. That is part of the reason I'm not in a hurry to jump into production.

As for the cam bearing. It is a copy of the Norris unit. Which is long out of production.

Paul Dunstall used needle bearings, but his required cam machining to fit. I don't like that idea.

It is really nice to be able to have a cam swapped in half an hour. Great for a comparison test.

I do not have a method to check the hardness, it's on my want list, someday.

There are many tools I would like to get, all to aide in speed and precision of the things I make.

For now they are hand crafted items, much like the Aircraft parts I used to make, just without paper plans.

I often work from an existing part, a sketch I have drawn or just the image in my head.

I have a lot of stuff in my head that I want to get made. I really wish I had learned how to do CAD, would make things easier.

Do you set the rockers to maximum play to feed the camshaft?

Seems someone already makes an alloy Commando swingarm.
