Painting Brake Disc?

Consider painting the disk without regard for what gets on the friction surface, then take it to your local brake parts store and have them put a non directional finish on the friction surfaces.

A pre-paint bead, or vapor blast, then a good cleaning prior to painting will insure that the right temp paint stays where you spray it.
