Sorry, cant remember if I linked you guys to this before....but here it is:
Get yourself a Dagger brush and put your bike on a paddock stand. Then steady your hand against the bike and slowly spin the wheel.Quite like the gold pinstripe on the carbon wheels! Wonder how easy that is to do! They are not as pretty as the original wire wheels of course, so some marginal beautification may be just the ticket!
If you do that, you can justifiably call the bike a "Dreer" tribute bike.Quite like the gold pinstripe on the carbon wheels! Wonder how easy that is to do! They are not as pretty as the original wire wheels of course, so some marginal beautification may be just the ticket!
Polished that bike a few times when I was stuck waiting for parts too lolIf you do that, you can justifiably call the bike a "Dreer" tribute bike.
The bike in the promo is a Dreer 961 prototype, not a Donnington 961.
I once visited the old Rolls Royce factory at Crewe and watched a guy paint the pinstripe all down the side of a Rolls, walking slowly....and then did a second coat, of course.Get yourself a Dagger brush and put your bike on a paddock stand. Why no?Are you mad V2D3! Me, with an artists paint brush, and real paint, on my beautiful carbon wheels!!?
What could possibly go wrong - might as well give the job to a monkey with a tooth brush!
Methinks gold pinstripe decals might be a little less risky !

Yes, but not applied by Stephen_SpencerWhy no?
That's what Marchesini use on their wheels.
Might make a very entertaining video.Yes, but not applied by Stephen_Spencer
The wheels have a clear coat on them. The pin stripe paint doesn’t have a hardner. Are you mad V2D3! Me, with an artists paint brush, and real paint, on my beautiful carbon wheels!!?

I was going to follow up your detailed post with explaining to you can use a paint like One Shot lettering enamel but then I recall what rabbit hole that would send it down and people would want charts, graphs, and videos....Good advice
