Wondering if anyone happens to have one of the Old Britts cast taillight housings that they are prepared to sell?
Thanks!

I actually have a few. Contacted Fred a couple of years ago and asked if he was going to make any more. He said no but we made a deal and I moved forward and completed a small batch using his mold and casting company. I also sent them to my CNC shop to change and clean up the mounting holes.

Pricing as follows (Old Britt's sold them at 325.00 in raw finish, including the light assembly)

Raw finish 295.00
Polished finish 355.00
Light assembly 17.00

Needs to be mentioned, just like the Old Britts offered taillights, these fit ok against the fender as is but not perfect. There is a lot of material so it's easy to shape with the Dremel tool or similar in order to make the base fit your fender. These can be polished, painted or powder coated of course to suit.

You can email me at nortonworks@fone.net to place an order. These are not listed on my website. Don’t call the shop as my phone is currently down

There are 5 (now sold out, Thank You John, Don, Tom, Bruce and Shawn) of these available and unlikely that I will run another batch.

Update: Considering the interest in these and how quickly they got grabbed up, I would consider running another batch. In order to do that, I would need 6 pre-sold (committed purchase). The casting company are several months out so it would be a wait for sure. So contact me if you want to move forward and we will see if I get enough interest to make it happen.

Thanks,

Matt

Oh well after starting the post it seems I was too slow to get one ! Have my name on the waiting list but if anyone else has one available please let me know.

Is that price right? $355? Either you're pissed (drunk) or you think we are.

Feked do something similar or the version to suit the correct L679 lens for about £50 all in. I got mine off fleabay about 5 years ago for about £25. I had to make something to hold the number plate.

That does make for a clean/good looking rear end!

I don’t know what the original taillight that Fred copied was from, but they do show up at swap meets and online once in a while. I have an original on my Atlas cafe racer.

I got one for 10 bucks at a bike show. Guy said it was a Bates, for a BSA. I had to trim it a good bit but I got it on and like it.

That’s it, I have a spare one kicking around somewhere, I’ll have to check for a manufacturer’s name.

Tippo,

If you do decide you want the one I made, let me know (can't compete with the 10 bucks of course). I held 2 back for builds but you can have one of them. I feel bad you didnt get a chance to grab one in time.

Thanks Matt, much appreciated, sent you an email.

Would this one work for you? Similar style, but would require some cutting if you wanted to fit it over the frame rail.

Ken
Unfortunately this cheap solution doesn't fit 850 Commando.:(
