Greetings,
Yes its a little cobby, but it works well and is small enough to be somewhat hidden.
I found the valve in the plumbing section of the local hardware store. Then I spliced into the ignition feed wires. Then tinned the ends of the wires, pinched them under the hose clamps, scraped some paint from the bottom side of the knob (it becomes part of the circuit). With the excess hose clamp bent just so the valve becomes a switch. Works great so far!!!!!!

Now that's a clever fail safe tidy steam punk plumbing solution to
taboo tradition, never install a manual anti-sump valve.
Brilliant lesson of out of the box - off the shelf thinking.
Will be a conversation piece to who ever views it
especially other Nortoneers.

I applaud your ingenuity but, in playing devil's advocate, would be concerned about the integrity of that particular circuit you've created... what with the vibrating and shaking that get transmitted through those lines;

Yep but looks like the spring steel contacts are clever solution
to keep current flowing and very easy to make work again long time
if ever an issue far from home.
Looks more robust connection than key or kill switch contacts
to me.
Wish I'd thought of it actually but alas didn't so a nod to Geo
smirking in deserved self satisfaction on unique feature.

Thanks for the compliments,
As for the integrity of the circuit I wasn't too worried about rust/corrosion because the knob is aluminum and the clamps are stainless. I do wish that I had used slightly longer clamps for a greater/flatter contact area. I also wasn't worried too much about vibration as the valve action is somewhat stiff and its supported in place by several inches of new rubber fuel line on either side which should isolate it from any harmful vibes.
I had thought about installing a manual valve for sometime, but I just could not bring myself to do it without some sort of failsafe.

Am I correct that if the clamps vibrate and lose contact with the valve while the bike is running you'll lose power?
