I might be crazy, but I thought I saw somewhere a complete list of all the nuts and bolts, washers etc., that goes on a Commando, giving size of bolt, nut and washers and thread type for every application.

If I could find the list again, I would like to print it out. Then maybe I could source some of the stuff myself, and save some time and money.

If someone knows a link to the sight, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Many, many thanks.

I bet you forgot to look in the "Technical Information Section" technical-information-section-how-post-photos-t2357.html
-didn't you?

Still,-here it is: http://stainlessbits.com/link12a.html

And I would advise everyone to make a copy of that list, as the guy is closing down the business. http://stainlessbits.com/

Good link! I copied the entire site, so if they do go away there is a copy. Also there are internet caching sites.

Thanks alot L.A.B., that is the exact list I was thinking about, but checked (I thought), everywhere and could'nt find it.

I'm not crazy after all.

I really appreciated the stainless bitts list. I have a copy. It’s a shame he is going out of business.

Not to bite the hand that feeds me (information), but some of the entries are wrong or missing. I wonder if there is any way we can keep up the Norton part of the list, adding to it as we can.

I still think it was neat that a guy from UK (I think that state is next to TN), and two people from Belgium, helped me find out about a part I could not identify, here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The collective knowledge of this forum would be invaluable.

Check it against the Old Britts listings.

I have an Excell spread sheet of nearly every nut, bolt and washer for my 69 'S' if anyone wants it , send me a pm. I think it is fairly complete, but I concentrated on the UNF/UNC threads and I can't guarantee it's accuracy. I did list some of the CEI and others, didn't include the motor at all. I bought all SS UNF/UNC from boltdepot at a much better price than you can get from the m/c dealers. I think I got everything I needed plus spares for about $80USD and I replaced all the nuts I could with nylocks. Some nuts will not take the nylocks because of the extra length. The WW, CEI and other non US standard nuts and bolts I plated with a kit from Caswell. Most of it turned out pretty good. If you use SS be sure to use nickel anti-seize.
