Norton trouble

Funny you should express that Sam...

I was leaving a petrol station recently and a bloke walking in towards me looked (momentarily) like SG...

I couldn’t help but wonder to myself, if it actually was him, just how tempting it would have been to have twatted him one?!

Then I realised that I can’t be alone in that thinking, and he’s not a very big fella in person either, the poor bloke must be in grave danger...!

Of course, I think such actions would be very wrong, and utterly irresponsible and should be discouraged in the strongest terms.

Nah mate,
He deserves it and I wouldn't think twice.

Can’t understand why he hasn’t been arrested yet. How can he be allowed to reincorporate the company under a different name. The whole thing seems very fishy to me...maybe someone is on the take at a high level...or are afraid how bad they (government) will look.

Companies House are useless, you can declare a company as dormant but still trade and they ignore complaints.

So we got another couple of weeks b4 we know what’s occurring, does anyone know what’s occurring atm , any body actually do anything with bikes, is workshop empty & stripped out ? Or any build stands finishing of 961,s ? , other words , is there any good news ?

Chances are BDO have been kicked of the site out by the landlord as I suspect Norton Motorcycles were just tenants. Guess who the landlord is.
As for what's happening, I suspect Metro bank have a bit of a battle with Santander bank who it appears had a prior and still existing security. That may mean BDO have absolutely nothing to sell. Might be why they have announced nothing and don't reply to enquires.
Talk about a mess.

Superbike? or visordown? have an update, he is now being investigated by pension fraud, with some detail released.

Good Luck and best wishes for Steve Murray ! Maybe he can save the Norton Motorcycle Company .

Really!! the one person that could have stopped this 6 years ago, but no, he put himself and his investment before others. He had the key info that authorities back then would have listened to but did nothing, that makes him as bad Garner in my opinion. Good luck and best wished are certainly not deserved.
Clearly a scam to get the UK TM and then do a deal that is most probably already done with SG for the rest of the global TM's, Murray will get his investment back and SG will then own all the global TM's to sell and make even more money.

Think about it, if anyone of his 'consortium' had money to buy the TM and get production off the ground they would not need a consortium to do so, they would be rich enough to do it alone.

I agree. I think any rescue by any ‘consortium’ is highly likely to struggle / fail.

Something like this needs a person / company behind it with the necessary financial muscle to make it fly.

They need to understand from the beginning what they’re getting into, what it’s likely to cost, how long it’s likely to take, and be happy to do embark on the journey.

Not just stumble along from one dodgy financed obstacle to the next.

I think what needs to be established first and foremost is what BDO actually have under their thumb. From the fact our MD has yet to get an answer to our questions and concerns about our exclusive licence regarding Norton spare parts, that even though he has rung and mailed BDO again and again over the last couple of weeks, I conclude they still have no idea what the can of worms they were landed with contains in IP that will stand up in court.
Hence I also think there might well be no more interested parties now that the legal background- or rather the muddle of it- becomes clearer.

Add to it the world has currently more pressing problems. Many legit, normally profitable, businesses struggle in the circumstances. Money is not as abundant as it was only four weeks ago, and those who still have it may want to invest in currently underrated industries that will take off like rockets when circumstances get back to normal.

Well it seems you gents know a lot more about this than me. So , I will just stay out and see what happens.
