Interesting norton dominator cylinder head a friend of mine found at an auto jumble dose anyone know any information on it?
He says the following

Has anyone come across one of these before? It’s a 1957-59 T2225 Dommie casting but with a single inlet port splitting into two. Now I know that the Model 7 prototype had something similar but because of overheating problems it was abandoned and separate inlet ports were employed. But that was an iron head and I wondered if when the aluminium heads were introduced someone decided to have another go. This has a 15 degree down draft and is for a 1 1/8” carb. The head is as new with only storage grime.
I would assume that a batch of say 6 would have been made as the patten equipment would have been to modify and obviously a new core box made for the ports.
Can anyone throw any light on it?

Interesting , Perhaps a project ,maybe a police bike ,something to counter the triumph T100 police bikes which were single carb. Cant think it a sports bike for the public . Image not right. The official records do not go into this type of detail . Interested in selling?.

It serves no purpose at all as it will be worse than the standard head with single carb manifold, due to the inferior porting.
