Good morning, I write from Valencia, Spain. I own a Norton Commando 961 cafe racer 2019. For a few months the malfunction yellow light has not disappeared from the display. I thought it was due to the lambda probe, because at the beginning of having the motorcycle the light came on when I accelerated quickly but after a short time it disappeared, but for several months the fault light has not turned off, it is constantly on. During these years I have replaced three batteries, the last one was the two days ago in which I installed a Skyrich HJTZ14S-FP Lithium Battery which is the equivalent to the Yuasa YTZ14S, thinking it was a battery problem. The bike started on the first try but after riding about 15 km, I turned the bike off and the new battery lost all its charge. I put it on charge throughout the night, I put it back together but after 10 minutes and without having turned on the ignition, the battery discharged again, and this is the reason why I am writing to you to find out if someone could give me a clue as to what could it be, since here in Valencia there is no official Norton dealer. Thank you very much in advance and please, excuse my English. Cheers!

Have you checked if there is a drain into the bike wiring from the battery connections, which flattens the battery?
And check if battery is being charged when engine is running?

Hi Jan,
The battery does not charge when the engine is running, on the contrary, just yesterday looking at the display the voltage went from 12V to 7.9V in question of seconds, turning off the motorcycle completely, as if it had removed the contact

Sorry, only half read your initial post, as I'd just woken up....battery light on I'd replace the camshaft sensor first....discharging battery, at that age it should have a decent regulator-rectifier....but you do get problems with connector terminals coming out of the connector blocks and not making a good connection, especially on the stator wiring. Also check the connector into the reg-rec is correctly plugged in, behind the big rubber boot.
