Cameras are passé.
'Follow me' drones are the latest fad.
I have a camera on my Commando, set in loop mode and 1min. clips.
Watching ride videos, even my own, becomes boring after one minute.

Ludwig, what camera is that? It's diminutive! Does it work well? Any 1 minutes clips?

It is a Mobius, with remote lens:

I like the front camera position, because I don't want to show my bike, but only the road.
In fact, I have two of them, one front and one rear when I'm riding with friends.

Sorry, no 1 min. clips.
Here are 2 older 5 min. ones. Front and rear of the same stretch of road, but they are not fully synchrosized.
Riding up the Furka pass. Steve (Kawa) follows. Mark (Triumph) stopped at 1.33 and Tim(Triumph) at 3.00:
Front :

The fluffy stuff at the right is an unsuccessful attempt to dampen wind noise.
Rear:

Ringing noise is clutch plates.

IMO, image quality for such a cheap camera is pretty good, but it doesn't show on youtube.
A screenshot gives a better idea:

Thanks Ludwig, looks like a fabulous day, great road and lovely scenery. I could listen to the soundtrack from the rear camera all day! The camera doesn't seem to be available anymore, but I'm sure there's a new equivalent. I like it's diminutive size and you don't need the screen whilst aboard!

Wow. That’s an impressive road, and scenery, and camera work....
Couldn't agree more on all points, and 100% kudos to all involved.... But: Does come across more as a tourist film, we're observers rather than participants. Would loved to have seen it from the front wheel :-)
But that's merely observation, no criticism intended.

I have been up and down the St Gotthard pass many times on a motorcycle and often wondered if it was possible to ride the old road. Now I know.

What is stopping you ?
Filthy Lucre! Or more to the point those essentials in life that drain the resources before you get to the bit earmarked: 'Motorcycling' :-) Which is why it's nice to vicariously participate in the experiences of others who so generously post here....
