i have one of those fiberglas leaking dunstall tanks needing replacement, nowadays the high tech is invisible but it sure help get the job done, beautiful!.

Lovely work, Do you have any plans to make the earlier model Dunstall tank, which is almost identical to this except that the knee indents are not so angular and the rear of the tank is more straight across the top?

Wow, that guy is good!
Finally a good source for a perfect reproduction.

Lovely work but at 3.5 k CDN I'm stuck doing my own!
I would like a modified tank shape for the MK3, not so big as an Interstate but much larger than a Roadster. It also needs knee indents like the Roadster.
Might tackle that this winter.

I know what he means about the tank bottom, it's almost as much work as the top skin.

That’s the first one I have seen with reliefs for the lower fork clamp. Is that a factory tank?

Looks like an Interstate tank, but has it been modified somehow?

Glen
If my memory serves me right , i bought this around 2010 from Walridge Motors .. It is aluminum and i believe it is a Bartel tank . Capacity is 20 litres which give me around 230 miles .

That is an ideal size. The standard Interstate shape is a nice looking shape but the weight of a full 25 litres sloshing around can be a bit much at times. 20 litres seems plenty unless one is planning a trip across the Sahara.

I am with you on this. An enlarged roadster tank would match the square shaped side covers better than the rounded shape of the interstate tank.
The roadster tank design is ideal apart from size, IMHO.

I have a buck for this shape, it has the Roadster style knee indents but holds a bit over 20 litres. Unfortunately it is about 1" longer than my 75 Interstate tank. The buck could be shortened up though, so that's likely what I'll do.
