NOC annual bash in Maldon Essex Sunday 31st July

NOC Norton Day 2022 - 31st July​

Sunday 31st July will be the 2022 annual NOC 'Norton Day' at Promenade Park, Maldon, Essex, CM9 5JQ starting at 11:00hrs and finishing at 15:00hrs. Located on the sloping bank of the river Blackwater, Maldon's Promenade Park has been a popular leisure location for over a hundred years.
All Nortons of any type or shininess are welcome and there will be awards for 'Best In Class' in the usual categories.
All motorcycles are free but those using a van/car to attend the show site will be able to park, and a cost will be incurred via a local authority machine.

The Essex Branch will be hosting the event and are providing camping and BBQ for those who wish to make a weekend of it. The camp site is at Weeley, CO16 9JL and is owned by Essex Branch member Mick Hubbard. He has said that people can start arriving on Thursday 28th July if they wish. Campers may stay on the Sunday night after Norton Day, leaving on the Monday. An evening meal will be provided.
Cost of camping is £25 for a single or £40 for a couple - includes the BBQ on the Saturday evening.

Well there you have it , another NOC bash that we can nudge into , I’m going along with GLB & Fred Vincent , NOC are more open towards the 961 these days, so be good if few of us attended, staying up there the night b4 so we should be on time on that day , pending any 961 gremlins that may occur, think the local group chairman has a 961 if I’m not mistaken

Maybe I should bring the van and a trailer this time :)
 
Is this what I pay my rates for?? Weekends disrupted by noisy hooligans on their oily machines!!

As we know, without pictures it didn't happen, so........
(Apologies to the guys I met and threw my camera at (!) and then disappeared.... Not a case of 'artistic temperament' but work commitment meant I was on a very tight schedule)

Not sure what more open 961s means!
Been to many NOC events on mine with no annamosity at all.
