Nothing better than getting the kids involved but only when they are old enough to enjoy it, when my daughters were growing up I bought a AFX track, well 2 in fact and set it up under the same place this new track is, I bought it for my youngest but mum and me had more fun with it than the kids, the Carrera Digital set is so much better and bigger.
Yesterday morning I serviced all the cars the whole 9 of them replaced all the worn tyres and all the contacts on the cars with new ones and now just got to give the tracks a good clean after all the work I been doing in the shed, I got a bit of dust to get rid of, but thinking of doing a few more changes still not happy and install a few crash barriers to the tables to stop the cars from shooting off the tracks and crashing onto the floor, few of the cars the tyres were so worn they were losing grip on the track, glad there was new sets of contacts with still spares to go and the new tyres were ordered before I bought the set so no cost to me for the full maintenance of the cars, just my own time which I am enjoying, tonight is race night.
A few of my wife's friends and some members of her family think I am a big kid and wasting my money on toys, well I am and I am having so much fun keeping myself amused, I sell a toy to spend on new toys so no cost out of our living money and the wife has her own car as well, so yes am 63 but 17 in my heart and I recommend it to anyone if they have the space, home entertainment is so good better than sitting in front of the idiot box (TV) being bored sh.tless every night and staying home without spending money for entertainment and keeping out of harms ways, I am just enjoying life and anyone is welcome to join us, the last few days has been raining and what a great time to be indoors and not be bored sh.tless.
