The one I bought is called Form-A-Funnel, and the 22 inch one reaches from the tank drain to my catch can (for recycling).

I guess I could shred the foil and stuff it in the aluminum cans that go to the recycling depot along with the cardboard, glass, paper and single-use plastics.
I have nothing against throw stuff away. For me the thicker formable funnel is easier to use than foil and holds it's shape better. I just wipe it off with paper towels.

My diddly doo arrived Wednesday and was promptly inspected/stashed.... GL 1000 gets an oil change next week so I hope to recollect the hiding place. Don't really need it there but time for primary & tranny change on the Commando too..... Every 4 months on the old girl.

Found my clutch spring compressor when searching for the hidey hole too... thought it was lost, but the 850 is still where I left it in the middle of the shed after my ride yesterday. Go figure... also caliper & fork seal kits for GL turned up. Put it all together in a box and stashed it.

Just used it on primary oil change and caught every drop. Wiped it down and hid it away.... Very pleased with results.

This was a stellar idea Dave and I thank you for mentioning it. I need all of the assistance available in keeping my work zone sorted because I am without doubt a shop pig.

A lovely aluminium foil tray arrives every time I order a curry from our local takeaway. Works great for oil tank draining with a couple of snips and a bit of bending. Even makes Greta happy that I'm saving the planet a bit by reusing it. Wipe down and in the recycling. Order another curry for next time :)
