new CEO and CTO announced

Alright!
I hope this means that TVS is battening down the hatches, and preparing for action, soon.

The article also mentions 110 employees. That’s already a lot more than the Garner area ever had isn’t it ?

Then there is the other German, Sir Ralphy who joins them Jan 2023, that's more Chiefs than TVS actually have themselves.

Skinner: For us, it will be the other way around. We are going to do modern bikes. That’s a given. The question is, are we going to classic bikes? If we remain completely true to the Norton ethos of innovation and modernity, then we don’t do classic bikes. But let’s be honest, there’s such a huge market for motorbikes like the Triumph Bonneville and it would be crazy to ignore it.

With that said, if we most certainly will be in the modern design space. If we do a sports tourer, an ADV, or a sportbike, they will all be modern bikes.

So 961 is dead then, you will need to wait for a Classic Norton to reappear like Hinkley did.

I think this is as it must be, if the new Norton company is going to be a financial success.
If they can build machines that match the performance and reliability of other modern companies, Norton will once again attract customers and investors.
This will build a company with a broad product, technical and financial base.
It will need this to weather the changes being foisted upon it and the industry by international regulations.
Once Norton is a success, it can do frivolous things again like compete in the IoM, WSK, and MotoGP.
Until then they need to stay focused on the main objective - to survive, then to thrive.
This is not your grandad's Norton.

That's an assumption that they'll sell the 7000 bikes skinner mentions, with the purchase price paid to BDO, the capital raising and the current annual running costs they have, seeing a profit is a long way off.
Considering the margins on modern superbikes, I just don't see they'll make more margin than the big names.

For sure it'll be a long, difficult path forward for Norton.
That's why they have to keep their focus and not be diverted on to silly activities, - business and customers first.
