Some good info on the new 650 in this weeks MCN, early prototypes will be on stand at the NEC where Norton invite feedback.
 
If they can get 100BHP out of a light weight 650 twin count me in. A roadster/small touring bike would fit my desires. Maybe the scrambler in final form can be adapted ?
 
Maybe Norton will use the 650 to create a new Commando II 750 version.
Bore it out to 750cc and dress it up like a classic with bodywork and badges.
I think 100HP from a 650 is a tad overly optimistic.
But hell, if they can get 85 or so phonies like the F800 Beemer, great!
 
I want a lightweight sport touring bike . I want it comfortable (Read Good Seat and Bars) and fuel efficient with good range. Say 250 miles between fill ups or BETTER . Also ,The Seat Height less than 32 in. high or low seat option and the power needs to be at least as much as the 961 has now if not better. I want it to have side bags , wind protection , heated grips and these are a must have !
