Hello guys, haven't had a lot to report on my bike recently, she's been sat in the garage looking lonely..

I've made a couple of changes to try and improve things, I've removed the cat from my standard mid pipe and I've managed to obtain a pair of open longs, thanks Cliff ))

I rode her yesterday with these pipes in the hope she would start to behave under 3.5k and respond to throttle and loose the jet black plugs. Unfortunately below 3.5k she was still a bit of a pig.. Above that she felt good.(can only go to 4.5k).

A couple of threads were brought to my attention and I bought a couple of O2 sensor eliminators as they seem to improve some bikes here below 3k..

Unfortunately it appears that Norton on Euro4 MKII have changed the connections (unless I am missing something) . Here are a couple of photos..

Does anybody know where to get this type on eliminator?

The wire colours are blue, white and 2 black.

The cat removal and open pipes are all good things to get the best out of these bikes. But it’s nothing to do with your issue at all I’m sorry to say.

As mentioned already, I’d be calling Thor, Krazy Horse, etc and trying to get them to look at it and diagnose the actual fault.

IMHO tinkering with the peripheries isn’t going to fix it and and if you’re not careful you might make things worse.

Reagarding the sensor delete, I was under the impression that it didn’t benefit Euro 4 bikes ?

I thought changing a few of the things people seemed to have success with might improve improve my bike too, just being optimistic:) Sadly you are correct there is a more deep seated issue somewhere. I know I need to take it to a dealer, 1st service is now overdue. At least I have a free flowing exhaust system and new temp sensor hopefully that will make it easier for the dealer.

Do you know why eliminators aren't beneficial to E4 spec?

I think you need a remap when the decat pipe and open exhausts are installed. I did!! 2014 sport. I took my ecu out and sent it to the dealer.

My investigations showed that due to the charge robbing at low rpm the ECU cannot correct the mixture using the input from the o2 sensors. This is because adding fuel to the lean cylinder just results in the rich cylinder getting richer (the ECU just gets very confused and adds a ton of fuel to the wrong cylinder). The o2 sensors are not the problem, they’re a symptom of the underlying problem.

This video really should be a sticky since it’s a topic that comes up over and over again.

Thanks for the reply, how far up the rev range do you think this affects the mixture?
