I assume that I will use a nice small battery. Any suggestions on how or where to mount the Podtronics?
Coco said:You can see I made a little bracket and hung my regulator off the rear cross member using stock holes and some rubber washers as vibration isolation. The pic does not really show the bracket but you can kind of see what I did there. I'm using the same, older battery tray as you on my MKIII.
Coco said:I used the rubber washers to actually space the bracket out slightly and figured I'd use rubber instead of steel. Sort of a just in case scenario. as far as heat dispersion, that is what the finned body of the regulator is for.

Thank you, that was helpful... shows me how not to do it.
Can't wait to see that updated picture on Saturday.

I did this when I was rationalising all of the wires that were surplus to requirements and at the same time lenghtened as required the appropriate wires. Mine is held on with 3 or 4 cable ties and sits against some foam packing that previously cosseted the Boyer, and can't be seen unless you are looking from underneath the petrol tank. A friend of mine has got some small variant of the oil tank mounting rubbers and has rubber mounted his with these in this location......very neat.
