Modern take on the Triton

I'd love to find a 650 Deluxe (bathtub) model.
Those quirky looks, in blue and dove grey are quite striking.
Now, if they'd been aerodynamically tested...

Its been commented elsewhere that the 650 was shown with 'bathtub' (rear enclosure),
but none were actually built like that.
The 99 (600cc) Deluxe models are becoming quite sought after.
Pics of them at shows appear now and then, so there must still be some of them about...

I'd love to find a good 1963 unit construction Bonneville - they actually handled well and were fast enough. The '59 model Bonnie was a great bike, however still had clunky handling. It was an icon, especially the Thruxton model. In all truth I'd be happy to own a good wideline framed ES2. I saw one recently that was not very dear.
I used to own a good '58 model Thunderbird - not a bathtub model, and I would not knock a bathtub model back these days. However at the time they were built, I felt the factory had misjudged the market.
I probably had a bad upbringing, however the 'modern Triton' strikes a chord with me. I think that sort of thing should be encouraged, it is how the British motorcycle industry started ( off-the-shelf frames and motors).

BMW alloy cylinder idea looks interesting = instant short stroke ?

How do you shorten the stroke without changing the crankshaft ?

350cc stroke and big bore piston.... ?

Isn't there a story somewhere on a bike rather like this ?

Perhaps, but as it's been pointed out there are actually hop up parts for the Triumph. If you want to hot rod a new Norton, what are you going to do?
