Modern equivalent of the WLA?

If its anything like the one I installed on my 71 Commando it's impossible to see in normal daylight, and quit working at all after a while.
The Battery status monitor should auto dim between night and day - mine does and is easy to see at anytime. The version I have fitted is used by a lot of other Norton owners I know and they have had no failures.

Which one do you have? As Sparkbright seem to be out of business I'm looking for a dimming version.

My Sparkbright gave out.
AO Services link no worky.
Ordered up 2- ICM units, 1 standard RED, 1 Tricolor.

Looks like Paul Goff has the SparkBrite listed in his Motorcyle Electrics section:

Modern equivalent of the WLA?

Bonzo,
I have had very good results with ICM products and he stands by his products. You can also order one that has both oil pressure and charging warning.
Mike

I recently installed the same unit and it's great. I have the green lens for high beam, red lens for oil pressure, and the amber one for this system. Bright red LED
is easily seen through the amber lens......They are made to order as per the specs on an individual bike......Quick turnaround, I ordered mine on a Monday and had it in my hands on the next Friday, cost effective at $ 35.00 USD which includes freight charges.....

Jim

As above great value with the ICM I also went with the Don Pender oil pressure sensor. All fitted one afternoon and all is working fine.

Rob,
I have always thought that the WLA was the 45ci flathead built for the army here in the states. The bike in your picture is much more modern.
Mike
Rob jus’ respondin’ to the thread title…

Modern equivalent of the WLA?

The version sold by ANIL is the exact same as sold by Al Osborn. They fit any 12V system, my charging system pumps out a constant 14.3V even at tickover and it works perfectly. We also stock a version with 2m lead that can be used on other vehicles where the leads to be taken back to a suitable source.
