I have acquired a Model 50 in bits. I think the swing-arm is bent. Possibly the result of incorrect spacers being fitted at some time in the past.

Can anybody tell me the correct measurement between the rear axle drop-outs. (or, the sum of the correct spacers, brake-plate, hub & speedo gearbox).

I have measured several to find a consensus, but found no two the same. Those that I measured vary between 7-9/16" and 8-5/16"

I am reliably informed that all Slimline Featherbed's utalised the same rear hub, brake-plate, speedo gearbox & spacers.
So, the measurement between the rear axle drop-outs on all Slimline Featherbed swing-arms, should be the same.

Surely now someone can give me the correct measurement...

The 'Shades of Black' swing arm drawing can't be Norton Featherbed as the metric measurement between the swing-arm drop-outs on the drawing converts to 9.708".

I was kind of wondering about that, since it was not entirely clear if it was the Honda 750 one he was referring to or not.

Did you try emailing the guys from the NOC link?
