Saw that last night, wasn't sure about quality. I was thinking like Jim, either SKF or FAG. If no one here has had a problem guess they are OK. Do you think Fair Spares and Waldridge has the same bearing. Big price difference, don't mind paying if I am getting my money's worth.

You may have some difficulty finding a top quality branded 4203 2RS, but then, how long has the unsealed bearing lasted?
So maybe ask yourself if a sealed bearing is an absolute necessity? Or perhaps consider changing to the 3203 2RS as these seem to be more readily available?

yep Les,

Probably got all the information I need, just got to figure out what I want. Thanks

Just a follow up on the speedo drive repair. I cleaned off the burrs and straightened up the gearbox. I measured it to see if the now crushed retainer was still rubbing on the sprocket. With the retainer fully seated it cleared the sprocket by .020". Installed it on the bike and tightened the axle nut, it was still binding. Seems it also gets hung up inside the gear box. I ordered a set of assorted shaft/bearing shims from McMaster Carr. A .020" shim between the bearing and the spacer gave me the room I needed. So as usual Les, you were correct, the spacer is too short.
