I discovered something very interesting while trying to cure a very stiff MK3 gearbox. Everything looked perfect inside and then I discovered that the neutral indicator switch can cause a lot of drag on the camplate if screwed in too tight. Bingo...a big gain...quick and easy, cheap and cheerful.

Wow! Who adjusted that switch last? King Kong? :rolleyes: If not corrected promptly, the slide pin of the switch will augur into the button the cam plate. This will lead to destruction of the switch, gouging of the cam plate button & steel filings in the case. Not an optimum state of affairs.
