I have small leaks where the 2 connectors slip over the cross tube. Is there any type of sealant or gasket that will hold up there or is it supposed to just be metal to metal?
Tnx,
Jaydee

I'm brand new at dealing with the crossover exhaust, having just installed one yesterday for the first time. But I noticed that on the connector sections (the parts with the bolts) that if you don't have the exhaust tubes from the pipes and the center tube inserted far enough into the connecters, the tubes may not completely cover the slots in the connectors. A leak will result. So it's worth a quick check. That happened to me when I first mounted it - I didn't notice that the crossover tube was too far in one direction, uncovering the slot in the left-side connector.

About the only thing is hi temp RTV replaced as needed as any thing else will crumble or fray then blow out on the thermal expansions and vibration. If sealer good enough not to crumble and blow out over time then best wishes getting it apart again. There are special couplings that clamp on either side of the joint to seal but don't know if room to fit on yours.
