Easiest way to change them out?

I was thinking about using c-clamps all around the star to notch it over, or is there a better way?

I just did them than removed the tire again because I thought I put them on upside down?
Sure enough the thin wafers were inverted.
Notched side to outside of hub.
I shot them with silicon got the drum started and used the axle to pull it all in.
Tryed the rubber mallet just bounced and made the hubcap look worse.

Yeah, I was reading the old topics, and everyone says to just bang them in. There's got to be an easier way.

How far in should they be? I have my wheel off and noticed that there are some well inside the spaces and some are above the surface just a bit.

I would imagine if new they should be in all the way. mine were like yours- some in further than others, as they get older they shrink causing some to move out?

Should be fine. Once they are in there's no way 4 them to fall out

No one has any easier ways? I'm bout to get assertive and get this done today

I don't know of any easy way. Use dish detergent as lube, not oil, heat up the hub, and get a friend to hold the bike while you wobble the wheel back and forth forcefully, cussing and sweating the whole time. DO NOT hit the hub w/ a rubber mallet. It doesn't work and makes the hub look terrible (DAMHIK).

Done! Now the only tough thing left is the rear iso's I've been putting off the past few weeks
