As I mentioned, Mick Hemmings has supplied me with a set of Mk2 roadster downpipes to go on my Mk3, as Andover have no Mk3 pipes at the moment. I did a trial fit of the LH pipe and it seems to fit, though with minimal clearance to the head of the primary case drain plug. I think a button head will help this though. Has anyone else tried this setup? Any snags?

Cheers, Jon

Re: Mk2 858 downpipes on a Mk3

One of my Mk. 3s has earlier down pipes, but I've no idea from which bike. I just machined a stainless bolt's head down a few mm. It all fits ok , I can even drain the primary without disturbing the pipes. I did have to elongate the holes in the silencer mounting plates to line everything up at the back ok.
By the way, Commando Specialties in the US have unbalanced Mk.3 down pipes. I have a set on my other bike, fairly expensive to get to the door but excellent quality.
