MK III Clarification + convert to kick start

I'm working on the exact same idea. I welded up the starter mount on an eBay find. Had a lot of trouble with small impurities creating pinholes. I got most of them wroked out, but am planning on painting silver like original and hopefully that will seal 'em up. Maybe a bit of JB Weld too... Looking forward to the weight reduction and getting rid of the clutter in that part of the frame.

You could fit a hollow- can arrangement to the hump for foam wrapped tool storage ,don't laugh ,I've seen it at a rally. :|
Who's laughin, that's the best idea I've heard of yet.

They do look great with the wart removed. Nice work guys.

You know you can fit a Triumph ignition cover there with minimum fuss. Kinda retains the Brit bits feel...

Hey 737captain, I'm going to hang on to my e-start bits just incase I develop knee problems when I'm older.

slimslowslider, that's the look I'm after! I'll have to keep an eye out for a spare inner case. Having that hump there when you're running a starter is one thing but with the starter gone it looks like an unwanted wart.

Thank you. Good luck with your conversion.
