Hi, I have an old mikuni tm36 which I’d like to try on my 750 commando. Does anyone have any base line jetting suggestions? It has no idle adjuster screw fitted, so I expect I’ll have to adjust the idle with the cable adjuster? It’s a non pumper carb. Thanks

Thanks, but that’s about mounting the pumper carbs. I’m looking for some idea of jetting. I have a number four slide and I’m guessing I need a 389 p-0 or p-2 needle jet? Maybe a 6DH3 needle? 240 main? And 35 pilot? These are mostly from tm34 settings and I’m wondering how much these would change for a tm36?

Thanks, but that’s a vm, I have a tm. Maybe it’s similar jetting? Anyway it doesn’t give jetting…

TM36-68 Pumper carburetor can also be substituted in this kit. This will require an extra cable set, throttle assembly, and air filter which is provided with the upgrade option. Please inquire with any questions.

'Because I can' is never a good reason for doing anything. Only the best is ever good enough. Cheap always has added expenses.

I have a TM 40 on mine
You may have to notch the frame gusset to make it fit
My frame has had the gusset removed so no clearance problems there
I had to change the needle jet and main jet to get it to run right
It gives fantastic mid range and top end unlike a single VM mik

Yes.. that was the point for my first posted link (clearance issues for that instrument)

Hi, thanks, I‘m always a bit reluctant to ask if I haven’t bought the carb from them. Maybe I’ll drop them a line…
