I had a severe blowout with a Kenda tube and this time I want a high quality tube for insurance. I found Michelins in our 19" size but they offer a choice of type TR4 or TR6. I get conflicting answers, what is the difference? Which is best for our bikes?
Thanks,
Jaydee

Go to Michelin's website so figure out the difference between those two designations. Might have to do with stem size and/or location. Some brands of wheel have the stem exiting off-center for ease of filling. Also, some wheels are designed for a pull-through rubber stem (larger hole) or a threaded metal stem (smaller hole).

I use Michelin airstop butyl 19 MF Fits in 90/100. WM-2 through WM-4 rims. I have been "superplus!" happy with them. Superplus!... where did I hear that before.
seriously you will not be unhappy with this match. They hold air even during long storage and as long as you don't pinch them when you install your new tire on the rim. The price is a little more but it's cheap insurance.
Cheers,

I use those tubes in all my bikes..Nothing like having a tube split to pieces while riding to rethink the cost of a premium tube..

FWIW Harley dealers carry high quality made in Japan Dunlop tubes that fit Commandos and I've had good results with them...
