If you intend to use your bike in such a way that the expense and complication of an outrigger bearing is justified , you may as well weld up the holes in the engine craddle , set your gearbox in a fixed position and forget the tensioners .
Once correctly installed , a belt drive never needs adjusting .
If the outrigger is for ornamental purposes only , hang it on the wall of your living room .

this is what we did on one of our outfits ( no no not hanging it up on the wall....)
once installed the lenght does not really change and when it does ( like when changing belts ) a belt is so flexible / forgiving that a tiny change does not matter
we did have to cut the top lug off and drill a new hole for fitting reasons but that did not alter anything as for the outrigger

(actually, no quote; he just posted a photo)

Very nice bike.

Welcome to the forum.

Please disregard any negative criticism about photo posting and/or customising your bike. Riding season is over and some people have nothing beter to do than criticise.

Yeah its a bit of a downer on the attitudes encountered but they are minor compared to the number folks getting off on your efforts and learning curve like I went through and still do now and then, ugh.

When I installed Pee's out rigger with the SS double adjuster I had to grind down one or two of the nuts and add a spacer behind the 2nd adjuster to get this shaft centered for about equal threads on each end nut.

Belt should be tensioned so its pretty easy to twist a full 90' in long run before binding fingers. This tension allows belt to be put on and off by sliding w/o changing the gearbox position, after the belt alignment confirmed by many many crank turnings to make sure it tracks on clutch basket w/o the front pulley side plate on.

If you have have rebuilt the gear box internals so there is NO slack/wobble in the clutch then good to go, if not you will not be happy long until you do. Extra Sleeve bushes [& 1st] should be kept on hand to switch out on first hint of clutch wobble shows up or may find the belt all ground up collected behind the front pulley and alternator. Ugh.

I made Peel sealed to water crossing and oil leaks this way. Ya have to relieve inner case rim so sheet lies flat with lots of area for sealant. I could get away with a fixed shaft area d/t the belt but chain needs gear box to move so you must invent a way around that. Maybe slather in sealant on slightly smaller sheet to allow some slip and put on sprockets and adj chain before it sets up? Packing rags behind clutch to press sheet tight as can to stay clear of basket wobble.
