Just as a "by the way"...

Royal Enfield produce over 400,000 bikes per year. That is more than double the combined output of Triumph, Ducati and BMW.

All with labour costs running at approx 1/10 of European costs.

And all with one core product line, meaning they'll have comparatively tiny R&D costs too.

Don't under estimate the Injuns...

Royal Enfield - the scary bit! they are due to open a research, design and development centre, not in India but in Leicestershire this Autumn. This model works for Dyson and many other companies especially the Germanic ones, BMW, KTM Bosch, Miele etc that have machines built worldwide. So Donnington could make a nice cosy design and development centre for them.
