Looking for a vendor recommendation for stainless steel header pipes

from what i remember from the classic car hobby, stainless exhaust will expand or grow with heat. header pipes on a commando may be minimal, but take this into consideration. i had my header pipes on my BSA project chrome plated. the shop would not triple plate exhaust (copper/nickel/chrome), but just nickel/chrome. said it's the copper that will discolor the pipes. the shop plater said they leave the pipes in the nickel bath twice as long for a heavier nickel plate before the final chrome. i can say, that after 1000+ miles, many heat cycles, and 11 months now, not a trace of discoloration. planning on taking my commando's exhaust this winter for replate.
