You don’t need to anything on a modern motorcycleIf you consider a 961 modern by todays standard and with all the issues that they have then it’s a longer explanation. On a 961 because of all the crappy electrical components I wouldn’t install one until every knock off part electrically was replaced and then confirm the systemEveryone has a reason to go to Lithium. Weight, size, cranking, power storage, and clean power output with less amp drawI like them because you can get 50% to 100% more cranking amps in a smaller or same size battery. On bigger bikes or hard starting bikes that’s worth every penny
