Let’s talk retro style helmets
What’s the image on Geoff Dukes helmet?

I’ve worn a Davida Jet for many years and while it is marked on shell, interior is like new. Unlike all the other open face helmets I’ve worn it doesn’t move up your head in the wind. I took head measurements and sent to Davida, no issues and a great helmet.

I agree with the Davida recommendation.

I’ve had a Jet for many years. It’s a beautiful piece of kit. Great build quality, very quiet but slightly bulbous.

I’ve just replaced it with a 92 which is a closer fit but not as quiet. Looks fab though in titanium Union Jack... matches my titanium Sport. You can buy a kit to tailor the fit. Also the goggles work better with this helmet.

I tried on a Speedster v3 but it didn’t fit as well, tight around the top of my head. It would suit some one with a more pointy head!

Davida. Big bucks. Snug. No noise....not ENOUGH noise. Scratch it and it creates rage. Not DOT approved. I can get a ticket if Johnny Law breaks cojones, so it sits in the box. Allstate paid for it because I slid down the road on my head with my first one. Great quality.
Biltwell, sent it back. I like the retro full face, but not the open face. Felt as cheap as it is. Too noisy.
Bell....best bang for the buck. I can hear, not as sell built as the Davida, but comfortable and it breathes. The Davida, my head swims in sweat.

So best in quality....Davida.
POS....Biltwell
Overall bang for the buck....Bell

Oh...Davida matches the bike. Black gloss with gold pinstriping. Squid

My first was a Jet. Now the Ninety two. The Jet was better.

I’ll call Davida tomorrow and have a chat with them. Those look great!
It’ll go with my Schott Prefecto P665 and the Lewis leather MK II racer jacket I ordered.

Davida is sold in South Carolina. Don't believe the DOT approved. There is no sticker and the police DO know the difference between a real DOT and an ebay sticker. I also wear a Schott leather jacket. Not the perfecto. I have the café racer style. Love it, but the sleeves allow air in. They are not tight like bike specific, so lack of fairing, the jacket puffs up a little on the road. Order it tight and let it break in. Mine was snug when new and now its actually roomy.

I currently have a Bell carbon bullitt in matte carbon. This helmet is full face, fit loose and is loud. It goes perfect looks wise with my Dominator Naked matching the matte carbon on the bike.

I also have a bell Racestar Flex carbon. Same size as my bullitt and fits snug, quiet, and is two tone matte Carbon and gloss Carbon with gold pin stripe and matches my commando perfectly.

What I hate about my racestar is the Visor constantly falls off when I open it. Bell has sent me multiple visors, clips and the hinges and nothing’s helped. It’s very annoying that anytime I open my Visor it pops off and I have to remove my helmet to reattach the Visor.

Thanks for the DOT heads up.
Being Michigan and Ohio are non helmet states I don’t think a DOT is required?
But I ride with a helmet all the time.

New York is....and the 5 year expiration. They don't usually bust balls, but occasionally, when bikers are disturbing the oceanfront serenity, they could.

I have a Biltwell retro full face. The visor let's a piercing blast of air right to the eyes when closed. I have to wear sunglasses, either clear or tinted under the visor. Aside from that, I like it.

HaHa!
Seems to be the Norton way

I like the style of the bullitt. It put quite a bit of pressure on my cheeks, but I believe it would eventually break in. I'm afraid to plop that much down on the CF for a couple ounces of weight difference. I should have jumped when they went of sale for 50% off. Missed that boat. Also, I've read of air leaks around the shield just like the Biltwell, although I believe overall, Bell is a better brand.

Exactly. My bullitt is very drafty and windy with a lot of noise. And it also has a lot of lift at higher speeds.
My Race Star is quiet, with no lift, only down fall with the race star is the damn visor popping off when I open it.

I dig the looks of both of these for riding my Naked

I wear this helmet with the mirror visor (non-CF version) daily most times. I like it a lot but the visor scratches the helmet when open and closing. Not the quietest but very comfortable. I have to wear earplugs with the shorties and on a domi with megaphones there is no earplugs that are good enough. Lol.
Love the bell. Best for the money. Not the best, but good quality on the cheap. The Davida is just too snug and zero noise. I don't like that. I need to hear what's going on. Oh...just realized you have the retro full face.....NOT cheap.
