Late model G80 / Mk2 ES2 info?

Congratulations, John! Good to read that your efforts has paid off. Sorry to learn about your knee problem. I guess you need an e-start for that bike as well ... :-)

I keep following the thread on installing a starter onto a G80. Hope one of the guys can find the guys who built the one that is on youtube. That would be a nice start.

Took is out for its first spin. What a sweet bike. Now I get to go down to DMV and deal with getting tags for the old girl. Almost be willing to get a beating as to deal with people who haven't a clue about old bikes.

Going down to DMV tomorrow and get the title changed over and registered. In Texas that will cost me a pretty penny, they have a "new to Texas" fee of $90 per vehicle if it comes from out of state, then the title fee and registration fee, it all adds up. Oh yeah can't forget the insurance, $ it's only mmmmmoney! Then I wait for the antique motorcycle tags, last time I waited 3 weeks. Can't win!

Went down and got my new tags for the G80. Got a new DMV employee and bot was she baffled. The bike was older than she is and only had 6 Vin numbers. Got a paper tag as the metal ones have to come out of Austin and could take up to 45 days. Government at it's best! Time to go for a ride, well in the AM. It's supposed to hit 100this afternoon.
