Hi
Rebuilding my Proddie racer & have fitted a nice set of un valanced alloy rims that I had to it. I have a Norvil leg but my Norvil wheels (6 stud) are valanced!
Looked at RGMs standard fitment large disc but wonder if there are alternatives?
Thanks Chris

I use a Ducati Hypermotard disc but it needs an adaptor plate. 305mm OD

Large disc for standard 5 stud wheel

Thanks Kommando that looks good. As Yorkie says who makes the adaptor.
John I didn't know there was an adaptor? Could do that but need the Norvil discs for the Norvil hubs lol.
Time warp useful list. If you were a bit closer I'd ask you to machine the carrier. Too many projects not enough time & definitely not enough money. But then there never is.

who makes the adapter?
2 off DIY on lathe and milling machine.

As your hub is 6 holes use the TW link to the disc listing and pic a 6 hole disc with an ID as close to the ID of your current disc. The thickness of the spacer is worked out by mounting the disc and then using washers until the disc is centralised in the caliper and any buttons on the leg side have clearance to the leg of say 1mm. Then you need 2 sets of 6 holes, one to suit the hub and then offset 30 degrees another 6 to suit the disc holes.

When machining the disc mounting flange you need to follow a trick to ensure its exactly in line with the opposite face that locates on the hub so the disc does not have a runout.

Hi Kommando
Thanks for your help. I have a friend who says he has a pair of second hand discs! Do you happen to know the pdc hole centers for the standard disc?
Thanks
Not that I will be able to get anything done yet as I'm recovering from covid.
Then I need to find a machinist " friend" lol

Std Norton disc
OD 272mm
ID 50mm 50.8mm
5 Holes
Hole pitch diameter 75mm 76.2mm
Hole diameter 8.3mm

Never measured the offset but it is a lot more than today's typical disc's which helps as then there is room for an adaptor.

Since when has a standard Norton disc had a 50mm bore? or for that matter a 75mm PCD
2" ID and 3" PCD are the correct dimensions
What did you use to measure it? a dressmakers tape?

The offset on a stock rotor is around 3/4" mount face to the rotor thickness centre.

Thanks 850 that's a nice job. Time Warp thanks for the measurement.
All food for thought.

Its what happens when you use an excel macro to search disc databases all in mm.

50.8mm and 76.2mm are the correct figures.

You can climb down now.

Thank you Joe.
Nice to know. Can't believe I've never seen this or heated of it until Seeley 920 John mentioned it.

I have a disc adapter plate SOMEWHERE in my stash of stuff; I really ought to measure it out and offer it up for sale. It came from Kenny Dreer, so I'm almost positive it relates to a Commando...
