I got some Jubilee clips with my RGM oil filter kit and they are real nice, smooth on the inside, fine thread, however, they are cad plated, not stainless. Are these clamps available in stainless somewhere in the US or UK or whereever for a reasonable price? I see some clamps online, but not much info at the stores. I need some for my oil feed lines (the rubber ones) and maybe some of the gas lines, but haven't decided on the gas lines yet.

I used these for the oil lines. The were from a local autoparts store and listed as fuel injection line clamps. Not stainless.

Gday Lab, here in the land of OZ, you can still get parts freely cadmium plated. I had parts for my 45 Harley done at Tenix who do alot of aircraft components. So, I wouldnt be surprised. Incidently, some componets after Cad plate, have to go through a de-imbrittlement process, such as prop hubs.

Any high tensile steel should be baked after zinc plating as well, the baking process allows the hydrogen to escape from the steel reducing the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.

As for clamps mine had these on it

they work well and are cheap but you cant undo them (well have to cut them off with side cutters). Personally I think they look neater than a hose clamp as well
