John Hogan of Superbike post on Twitter 26th May 2021 SG declared Bankrupt

Ah, is this a slam dunk!? Not even old Slippery Git can stay out of jail with those circumstances can he? Looks like a couple of years hard labour - well, maybe pressing registration plates for someone else’s motorbikes. At least two at a guess. We should club together and buy him a soap on a rope! Don’t want to risk dropping a normal bar of soap in those showers:oops:!
He's so pretty, as soon as he goes in, he'll become someone's b**ch instantly.

Can't imagine this was the future his wife had in mind when they married late 2018.......

Based on past UK rulings I would be surprised if SG got more than 4 years and then will probably end up as the guy pushing the library trolley and out a year early for good behavior.

He will then keep his head low on release, move to a republic then access the money that had been hidden in a spousal / trust or off shore account.

Its the way with the white collar criminal world wide but would like to be proven a pessimist on this subject.
Tell me the guy does not believe he was mislead or advised and is a victim of others wrong doing.

Some reports state max sentence is two years...

He should, despite pleading guilty trying to obtain a more lenient sentence, be given 2 years for each one of the three charges he pleaded guilty to.
Don't forget he has a farm in Botswana and transferred his assets to his wife a few years ago, he's as slippery as an eel!

The sentences will be served concurrently so 3 x 2 years is still 2 years !!!

And you still get time off for good behaviour. So likely 1 year is all he will be spend inside.

Mind you, all conjecture at the moment. The UK 'justice' system isn't unknown to throw up some bizarre outcomes...

Out in one for sure and probably an open prison. On the assett hiding, you would hope they go back to when the pension pots were used and see what assets were in his sole name at the time. That would really be an injustice if they allowed assets to be shifted at any time after the initial offences were committed.

It would be poetic justice if his wife ditched him and went into the sunset with a Triumph rider!
