Contours. The long version pretty much look stock. They sound great though. Nice and deep, throaty sound without being obnoxiously loud, although I've been told they are. Video is not a good judge of sound, because if the shorties are louder and deeper, the video doesn't really capture that.

Thanks for the help, Britfan60. Furrycat said pretty much the same thing. I will go for the long silencers then, primarily because they resemble the classic Commandos more so than anything else I've seen. Of course, had I opted for the Cafe Racer I would have a different opinion.

I decided to tackle making a cat-eliminator myself using off the shelf ready made parts. I am going with a traditional H pipe for better torque rather than an X pipe.
Picture is after 1/2 hour of cutting and fitting the 1 3/4" x 0.065 SS pipe. Next step will be fabrication of the cross over joiner and the hanger bracket and TIG welding together. Then polishing. I will probably polish the two pipes before being welded at the join/cross over

I ordered the off the shelf materials from SPD (Specialty Products Design) in Rancho Cordova, CA. It is all 304-16g seamless stainless steel tube.
2 x MCB25175-30416 this is the only bend a 25deg Merg Collector bend $29.33
2 x TE175S16-14, this is a tube extension the 1 3/4" expanded at the end to slip over the header $29.78
1x ST18816-304 SS tube, 1ft $15.00
This shipped in 2 days - total around $150 incl. freight. Price here in Canada for the X pipe is $605 plus tax, shipping etc.

With these items, welding is kept to a minimum and the clean flowing lines of the pipes are kept.
I will post the progress over next few days.

Cheers
