+1 on Steve Maney's oil junction block

I think it really tidies things up!

That looks great, but as SteveA says it´s not as Maney sells them.... Can you reach the inner coupling when the engine is in the bike? Looks a bit tight....

" instead of the horrible hose clamps?"
I'm stunned at the amount of fixing required for the oil lines that have almost NO pressure.
How much pressure needs to be restrained in 14" head of feed oil?
How much pressure is needed to push oil through a car filter?
Almost zero.....

The correct rubber lines that have some push on snugness could likely go 10's of thousands of mile with NO clamps at all.
I would think the biggest job for the clamps is to keep jealous Triumph and Harley owners from pulling your lines off while you are inside the bar/tavern.

Oetiker ear clamps:

I've got em all....

We have had this discussion with the race scrutineers several times before...these are not under pressure....bu they are driven by a rule book that doesn't much understand British motorcycle technology....and the only thing they seem to understand about British motorcycles is....they leak oil!

Waste of breath, I just use the 'O' Clips and they leave me alone, which you even more correctly point out is Oetiker Clip of clamp, one ear or two!

@SteveA - you probably know this already but Steve can supply them with the AN fittings instead of the hosetails - but he only had the hosetail ones on the shelf when I was ordering some other bits, so I took what he had at the time.

I wound the old fittings out, and screwed the new ones straight in (he loctites them in, so I used a little heat to break it).
The ID of my AN fittings is about the same as the end of the hosetail, so didn't worry about the bore size.

@fiatfan - yes it's tight, however the other end of the pipe has the same fittings, and goes into the oil filter - access at the end is much better!

I remember seeing a couple of years back that Jean des Rosiers made a junction block that exits underneath on one of his projects - I may go the same way someday, as the hose routing would be a lot neater.

At one time most people would have access to a pair of pincers - used by generations of woodworkers for removing nails. Older blunt ones are best for this task, but a rub with a file will soon take care of any "edge".
They work admirably on O clips.

Years ago my bike had an oil tank in the back of the seat. My return oil line was held on to the tank inlet using a spring clip which as fitted with pliers. While I was racing, it popped off and sprayed oil behind the bike and a few guys fell off as a consequence. One of the said to me 'we know you did not know it was happening' and they just took it in their stride. I have never been so embarrassed about anything else. - VERY GUILTY !
