Ignition Switch Bracket for MK2

1974 Commando Mk2. Had a homemade ignition switch bracket bolted to the front of my battery box (and mounted transversely). That bracket has not survived the disassembly process and I am now looking for a suitable bracket that I can mount in roughly the same location -- forward of the left side cover and preferably pointing outwards to the left. Note that I am running dual Mikunis with pod filter and the standard airbox was probably left bounding behind the bike in the late 1970s.

Is there a universal bracket that could work here? A PO drilled two holes in the front of the battery box that could serve to mount a different bracket. Is the ignition barrel a standard size?

The ignition barrel is a standard size - any Lucas switch (2 or 4 position) fits the original circular hole with the flat locator.

Best solution I can think of is the Norvil Proddy Racer bracket which bolts to the front lower air filter box mounts on the battery carrier.
It puts the switch lower down and may need the wires extending.

It's just a simple 'L' bracket, and a bit pricey for what it is, and is probably very close to what you already have

Any bracket which puts the switch back to the original location is going to be long and vibration prone I guess.

When I recently removed the ham can filter and installed velocity stacks I relocated the ignition switch to the front of the battery box mount, facing forward. I just made a bracket that would mount to the battery box and offset the switch to the left side, forward of the battery. It just required a flat piece of metal with two holes for mounting bolts and the round hole for the ignition switch. I can easily reach it while sitting on the bike, even though it is lower than the original mount. It's a good, solid mounting point.
