Hi there,
Last Wednesday I had hip surgery, as you can see in the photo, the prosthesis is really Hi-Tech, titanium and ceramic are the main components, but of course there are options like a toaster or a machine for popcorn. I chose to take the prosthesis without any option.
The operation is simple, we cut your thigh, we take the femur and its ball joint out of its housing in the hip, we saw off the femur (I took the piece of bone with it at home for my dog) we pushes the prosthesis into the femur, we ream in the hip to put an artificial housing, we put the patella in, we sew up the thigh and that's it.
The next day I was already walking, with a rollator of course.
But I had illusions, I thought I could dance the Boogie Woogie after a few days, but nothing could be further from the truth, it hurts, very badly and the sessions at the physiotherapist are real torture.
The goal is to unroll with the MV Magni as quickly as possible
Keep you posted

Hello Nigel,
No need to cry for me, I'll be fine as always, but I have to say that after more than three years, I'm sick of suffering, I'm sick of hospitals: October 2018: calamity Jane me cuts the road, 26 fractures, two months in hospital.
2019: operation on an infected wound following the accident, one week in hospital
2021: open heart surgery two weeks in hospital.
Last week: hip surgery, thank you Calimity Jane.
I hope it will end now, I dream of an hour without pain.
One day I will write a book: "My life told by my scars"
Only my right leg: my calf burned in the third degree during a sidecar race, two scars on my right thigh, where he took the skin for the grafts, a scar below the knee, thanks Jane, a scar above knee, thanks Jane, and now a ten inch scar on my hip and not talking about the rest of my body.
Last week; at the hospital there was a nurse with a beautiful body, but she was wearing a Corona mask, I asked her to take off her mask, surprised: she had a hare's beak, okay: with her mustache it was not so visible

Thanks evrybody for your support
Yves

Recover well, Yves.

When a woman is ugly, put a bag over her head.

When she’s hideous get two bags. One over her head, and a second bag over your own head in case her bag falls off.

Wishing you a quick recovery. It's less painful if the therapist is female and attractive! Don't ask how I know this!

Yep, a two bagger!
