Last time I seen and heard one of these 750 triple was back in the late 79 early 80s a friend was riding it, well more caning it flat out b was his mate's bike had expansion chambers on it, he was caning it on a new unopened by past fresh bitumen and all, I was sitting on my dirt bike above a cutting on the bypass when I could hear him in the distant right up it when as he come around a slight bend a way from me he got into a big tank slapper, he tried to get out of it by opening it up more, didn't work before I knew it the bike was sliding at speed towards me and my mate was following it at speed as well.
The bike slid past me and my mate stopped sliding just near me I was down to him straight away and he was pretty messed up he asked me to help him up and to my shock asked me to get him over to the bike, as soon as he got to it he started to kick it and lots of cursing words coming out of his mouth.
To this day he still has the big scar on his left shoulder from sliding down the bitumen from that day.
I will never forget that day in 79 early 80s and my mate will never forget the pain and injuries from that day as well, I can tell you he was going at high speed when he got that tank slapper and he is a good rider, just that Kakka was dangerous for the power it had, don't know what ever came of that bike as the owner got rid of it no long after.
