I was using a Harley Street Rod - around 70BHP - as my commuter bike and it was great. Enough torque and power to leave most cars at the lights; just drop the clutch and wind it open no drama, just enough power to enjoy and quite decent handling. Pretty much the same as the 961. Just swapped the HD for a Duc supersport S; took the sensible option rather than a Panigale and it is a really great bike although some would consider it underpowered, but the speed limit comes up a lot quicker and you certainly don't feel the speed so for normal UK riding I seem to spend most of the time trying not to be breaking the speed limit by a factor. On reflection I think 70BHP is pretty much the sweet spot for an enjoyable ride on normal UK roads mixed with a nice dollop of torque.
Three Dee ABS and electronic control systems are great for keeping a bike stable at 100mph+ but they won't stop an electric scooter wobbling the wrong way out of a side road in front of you.......
