I am now 10 days home after five months being hospitalized. On October 15 I was wrs tiding a TR6 on the freeway here in Los Angeles and somehowui I got run over with the result being 16 broken ribs one lung full of blood and the other deflated. There after I was comatose and intubated for a month and then placed on a ventilator for the following four months I am now home and trying to ambulate around the house. Since my wife passed away last June my daughter is helping me. She is doing a great job. I sold some bikes and cars and boats and other toys abd closed my law office.

So, that’s where I have been. Looking forward to posting here again

Bad news. You've had it pretty rough. I sympathise with you. Your own experience is bad enough but to lose a loved one as well? i personally have just had to give up riding which is tough, but the time has come. Had a low speed fall. May you get much better and return to some form of enjoyment of life. Good luck.

Wow John, it sounds like pretty serious accident which you were lucky to survive. Welcome back. I wish you a speedy recovery.

cliffa.

Goodness sakes, TWO guys down! One much worse than the other.
May you recover. Perhaps you can tell us what happened in more detail?
Reminds us all that we must drive defensively. Especially as we get OLD. :-(

Hi John,

That’s bad news. Sorry to hear that. Welcome back and speedy recovery. Which freeway were you on?

jerry

Wishing you the best for a full and faster recovery ! , good luck !!!

Sorry to hear of your crash and injury and loss of your spouse.
Sounds a bit like Mike Corbin's crash where he woke up in the hospital with no recollection and there were apparently no witnesses, but he was obviously run over by a motorist.
Heal well and quickly.

Dang, are you trying to "one-up" @yves norton seeley ? Well, it sounds like you DID!

I sure hope you have a very effective recuperation and rehab; and I hope that your return to whatever "normal" will look like, will be enjoyable and trouble-free. I also hope the at-fault driver was well-insured.
