Homemade Z plates

Very nicely done, and kudos on the router management. Is that walnut (or maybe Ipe?) you've used for the side panel?
It is actually Western Red Cedar my Dad & I got from bank countertops (bank being closed in around 1974) in our town, probably 70-80 years old at the time.
Used much of it on sailing skiffs we were racing at the time.
Had some left and, as a nod to Dad and his bike, used it as side covers.
I'd always found those bare loops on the slimline to look somehow naked.
The idea for filling them in came from looking at a BSA Goldstar (don't tell anyone!)
Anyway it is what it is - I know Dad would have liked it (and I do)
