My BSA B33 leaks oil Badly from the primary cover .

Taking the primary cover off again to really find my oil leak , I'm lucky to have a english surface plate that's about 4 ½ feet square so after trying my new puller for the hub adapter, the split part , it worked fantastic , I found the rear part of the cover had .020" gap at the bottom , so I had to get into it with a decent file then back onto my surface plate , glued on sand paper , cover now flat . Now onto the sliding plate , which has a neoprene seal but the whole thing needs attention. Cheers

On my A10 I made an aluminium sliding plate,6mm thick from memory
I have a triumph clutch with adaptor
I fitted an oil seal to the aluminium plate so that the lip of the seal was just off of the scrolled part of the adapter
The plate is held in position by two nylock nuts on the back of the chain case
So once the primary chain is adjusted I nip up the nuts
They are not difficult to access

Hi baz , I was thinking that I could screw on a steel or rubber sheild over the top half , that umbrella-ed the sliding plate because the flicked off chain oil just runs down the back of the felt , I have fitted a speedy sleeve to my hub adapter for the neoprene seal, that works ok ,I have a early 4 spring triumph clutch , they seem to have too much clearance on the chain wheel which causes that to wobble excessively, I know the fatter roller bearing are not recommended, but wondered if I ground some of them more clearance but not as small as the correct bearings , I don't really want to machine/grind the step on the hub adapter , the only reason I mention this is for clearance for anything I fabricate . Cheers pic is my cush drive spanner, i found out the two lobe should have the round wire spring , its a lot tougher than the square wire spring , apparently its for the 4 lobe cush .

Give the umbrella shape shield a try
One of the reasons mine was leaking so bad was because I was mistakenly filling the chain case too high with oil

I've quickly fabbed this I will drill and c/sink 6 screws it has a 15mm wide metal mount at the top and I will

silicon it on , it's only 1.5mm thick, resting on the slide bolt heads .I will dummy it up in an hour or so , fingers crossed 🤞 .UPDATE , Well that was a total fail 🤣🤣 I think I was overly ambitious ....chain wheel was ok but not so good with the chain on🙄, now I've got a smaller bit of rubber with rayon, it just looks like crap , but might work .

Well I didn't trust the rubber I fitted to the primary , I thought if it curled up and came off ,I be skidding down the road , I had another idea and that was to machine, a angled lip and weld it on , but it didn't work out , so here's MK4 design and it's fully welded on now ,I have filled to the level bolt , it hasn't leaked a drop, but I've only been up and down the driveway 200 metres each way , here's a pic of the winning design .
