Well as this year comes to the end ..I would like to thank you all for your contributions..good/bad/ugly to this site to date..ive followed it for years (before becoming a member) for search info purposes and it has been a valuable source of new product availability and technical information for me and for many other riders around the world I'm sure.
Even though I may come across a touch controversial at the pub at times my voice removed by complaints to the establishment...mocked by "some" for my beliefs...
I look forward to joining you all in the new year...Long live Access Norton 🇬🇧
Godspeed......everyone

Yes survived another year and fingers crossed haven't had covid, times have been bad the last few years and it will probably get worst with cost of living, wars, dictators trying to rule, prices of fuel going through the roof, greed etc. etc., my bikes are the only thing that keeps me sane, I wish the year ahead will be better, but there is a big but, I just keep going and treat everyone the way I like to be treated so Happy New Year to all no matter what bikes you own or ride, ride safe and stay upright and help one another.

The last several years I've set a resolution to not visit the ER during the year. This year, I changed it not to get admitted to the hospital during the year - about 30 hours to go to finally fulfil a resolution. From 2013 through 2021 at least one ER visit that resulted in a hospital admission each year!

In the US, most surgeries are outpatient and being admitted to the hospital means you have a life-threating issue or at least a potential one. Two of my earlier admissions were clearly life threating and the 2021 admission followed me dying in line at the ER (obviously revived).

I did have an ER visit this year but did not get admitted. My resolution next year will be to get at least one surgery I need and not get admitted to the hospital in the process!

It would really be cool if someone from each time zone where a Norton lives would post "Happy New Year from xxx" shortly after the day changes. I'm guessing New Zealand would be first (geography - not overly clear in my head).

We will be on the water tonight and we (New Zealand) will be first to see in the New Years so no doubt will post some pics....Sorry to hear about your health challenges as getting the continuity of care that we all deserve gets harder everyday..ive just got back from the hospital myself as I have a dear friend that has suffered a stroke (norton rider)..helping with his rehabilitation and taking him up some decent tucker
for him to eat
Take care Greg ...

Love your attitude Ashley in regards to what you ride 👍... and yes things are going to get alot worse till they get better. Im afraid..ive had both the original strain and omicron ...and to be honest the first one was no worse to me than the seasonal Asian type flu...I know if you have a compromised immunity things can get alot worse when you catch the flu especially for the elderly sadly.
Your featherbed Norton is a inspiration to many of us im sure..like many cycle owners here on Access Norton 🇬🇧
I too own a Triumph similar to yours that has taken a beating and has never failed me...though nothing compares to a well maintained Commando like all the ones here imho
