Sorry about the tuna can crushing. Forgot to mention it had to be a 1972 can. PVC cap is so ridiculously cheap to make. I love PVC for non-plumbing uses.

hobot --- your post somehow diverted my attention from Nortons. I think if I had the choice I know what it would be... lessee now... country girl in jeans with lacy underwear or oily primary case.

Here is my version made from a PVC pipe cap an aluminum plate I had around and I even added a bearing to make it easy to use.

Sprocket Removal

Great tip from Ludwig on holding the sprocket, I put it to use yesterday! Another great tip I read was to use a 1-1/2" trailer hitch wrench. I found one at AutoZone for mere twelve bucks, a similar wrench would of cost closer to $40.00 anywhere else. They also carry a couple of pullers for under $15.00 that would handle the primary gear.
