In my metric country, good quality US-made rubber fuel pipes are only available in metric dimensions. Though the 6mm pipes I buy has the text 1/4 on them and the 8 mm ones are stamped 5/16.
Does anyone know what is the most likely ID size, 1/4" or 5/16"? If not, I'll open the crimp, but then I'm probably off the road until until new pipe and clips arrive.
On my '72 it came new with the H pattern fuel lines... all 5/16". I went to the later (safer) setup and used the "not quite 180" 5/16 double banjos which worked fine along wirh the Motion Pro clear line. Have never seen any 5/16" 180 degree double banjos. Did they use 1/4" 180 banjos when they went to the later fuel line setup? I use the metric fuel line clips from ebay. I'm through with ferrules!

I have been using Tygon 1/4” I’d for years now with no clamps and have never had a problem. In the U.S. it is available at Napa auto parts. It is very flexible and doesn’t get hard. I have never found any clamps that would work on something that small other than the worm-like.Just my 2 cents. I have seen some thin wire type like I have seen on lawn mowers, etc.but I have never found the need.
